Has The Internet Changed Dating?

The Changing World of Dating

Dating has always been an integral part of human life, but the way we date has evolved
dramatically over the years. The advent of dating apps and the growth of prostitution have
had a significant impact on how people approach dating in today’s world. In this article, we
will explore the impact of these changes on normal dating.

Positive Aspects of Dating Apps

Dating apps have revolutionized the dating landscape, making it easier than ever before to
connect with potential partners. With a few swipes, you can browse hundreds of profiles and
connect with people who share your interests and preferences. This has been a game-
changer for those who are looking for love, especially those who are busy and don’t have the
time to go out and meet people in person.

Negative Aspects of Dating Apps

However, dating apps have also had some negative effects on normal dating. For one, they
have made the process of dating feel more like a job interview than a romantic pursuit.
People often treat the process of swiping and messaging as if they are going through a
checklist, trying to find someone who ticks all the boxes on their list of ideal qualities.
This can lead to a lack of authenticity and genuine connection in the dating process. People
may be more focused on presenting a polished image of themselves rather than showing
their true selves. This can make it harder to build genuine connections and can lead to
disappointment when expectations are not met.

Unrealistic Expectations

Moreover, dating apps have also had an impact on people’s standards for what they want in
a partner. The endless options and ability to quickly swipe through profiles may lead people
to have unrealistic expectations for what they want in a partner. People may feel like they
have to settle for nothing less than perfection, leading to a culture of perfectionism and
superficiality in the dating world.

Dating Apps and Casual Sex

In addition to the impact of dating apps on normal dating, the growth of prostitution has also
had an impact on how people approach dating. The rise of prostitution has made it easier
than ever before for people to engage in casual sexual encounters without any emotional
attachment or commitment. This has changed the way people view sex and relationships,
making it easier to separate the two and view sex as a transaction rather than an intimate
act.

Moreover, the normalization of prostitution has also had an impact on how people view
themselves and others. People may start to view themselves and their bodies as
commodities that can be bought and sold, leading to a devaluation of human dignity and
respect.

Emotional connections

Furthermore, this has also had a negative impact on people’s ability to form healthy and meaningful relationships. When sex becomes a transaction, it can be harder to build emotional connections with others. People may struggle to form deep and meaningful connections with others, leading to a culture of superficiality and disconnection.

The rise of dating apps and prostitution has had a significant impact on normal dating. While dating apps have made it easier than ever before to connect with potential partners, they have also led to a culture of superficiality and unrealistic expectations.

Be Aware

Concluding, the growth of prostitution has made it easier for people to engage in casual sexual
encounters, leading to a devaluation of human dignity and respect. It is important to be
aware of these changes and to strive for authentic and genuine connections with others,
rather than focusing solely on superficial qualities or physical transactions. By doing so, we
can build meaningful and healthy relationships that enrich our lives and bring us true
happiness.

10 Fun Facts You Didn’t Know About Masturbation

Now for a really fun guest post all about one of my favourite topics… Masturbation.

Let’s get Masturbating!

1. The Japanese

The Japanese word for male masturbation is senzuri, which translates to “a thousand rubs.” While the word for female masturbation is, shiko shiko manzuri which means “ten thousand rubs”.

The Japanese sure know their stuff and are as eloquent as it gets with their use of language. Truly the people of a few words.

2. Masturbation could’ve killed you if you lived a few centuries ago

In 1656, you could have been executed if you were caught masturbating. In Connecticut, the New Haven Law meant that if someone else witnessed you participating in the act of masturbation, then it was up to jurors to decide whether you would get to live or die.

3. Over masturbation? Not really, as long as you’re comfy

When it comes to masturbation, there’s no such thing as right, wrong, too little, or too much. As long as you’re healthy, sexually satisfied, and confident, then no one is going to tell you to stop or to do it more often. However, the only time it will become a problem is if you feel like you can’t function without doing it. If you find yourself skipping work to pleasure yourself or you’re turning away from your partner to spend more time alone in the bedroom, then you should consult a therapist and address any issues ASAP.

4. There’s a reason why some vibrators look like a rabbit

Did you know that in Japan it’s illegal to create sex toys that actually look like the real thing? That’s right, the fan-favorite realistic dildos are out of the question. The witty Japanese solved this problem by designing the world’s first rabbit vibrator. Most folks who own a frisky rabbit vibrator want to explore their sexuality as much as possible while caressing themselves with the power of gratifying penetration, clitoral orgasms, and steamy masturbation sessions.

5. Masturbation wasn’t always the forbidden fruit

Why do we love the early Romans? Because they were open about their sexuality! Even as early as 4000 years before Christ, a clay figurine depicted a woman touching herself, and obviously enjoying it. All was great until the early 1700s when an anonymous pamphlet titled Onania was published and put an end to all the fun.

Then humans went as far as calling masturbation a “heinous sin” of “self-pollution.” This mentality continued through the 16th and 17th centuries when those who did masturbate were regarded as mentally ill. Over 60 percent of mental and physical illnesses were blamed on masturbation.

6. More masturbation = more confidence in the bedroom

Apparently, the more you masturbate, the higher your bedroom confidence will be. Many people get offended if their partner masturbates, but sometimes you just need to feel comfortable in your own skin. And because you’re able to figure out what you like, you’re able to tell your partner too, making it a much more enjoyable experience when you’re in bed together. You’ll also know your limits and it will eventually make you more comfortable having sex in the long term. Sex is great when both partners have spent hundreds of hours by themselves exploring their bodies and boundaries first.

7. One US state leads America by the number of dildos owned

Iowans do love their masturbation, dildos, and liberties. With Iowa’s motto being “Our Liberties We Prize”, we definitely understand where these proud folks are coming from. If you live in Iowa and own a dildo, then congratulations! You’re living in a state with the highest dildo ownership in the country! With 42.3 percent of Iowans owning at least one dildo, it’s safe to say this state loves their sex toy penetration.

8.  Statistics reveal that 50% of Americans use sex toys while masturbating

Funded by Church and Dwight Co. Inc. (makers of Trojan) the studies surveyed more than 2,000 women and 1,000 men (ages 18 to 60) on the use of vibrators. The results were published in the Journal of Sexual Medicine in 2009 and concluded that more than 50% of women and 45% of men used vibrators during masturbation and sexual intercourse. The numbers are sure to be incrementally increased over time!

9. Masturbation prevents cervical infections in women, reduces depression, and can even strengthen your immune system

University of Sydney’s Anthony Santella and Spring Chenoa Cooper explain that masturbation can keep several illnesses from cystitis, and diabetes to prostate cancer at bay. In an article for The Conversation, they write:

“For women, masturbation can help prevent cervical infections and urinary tract infections through the process of “tenting,” or the opening of the cervix that occurs as part of the arousal process. Tenting stretches the cervix, and thus the cervical mucous. This enables fluid circulation, allowing cervical fluids full of bacteria to be flushed out.”

10. Not only humans are keen on masturbating – but other species do it also!

Did you think that you were the only living species on this planet that has daily sexual needs? Just because you have a conscious, the ability to think rationally and walk and talk does make you any different from the likes of birds, apes, and horses. That’s right, you all have one thing in common: you love to let the steam go off. Whenever these animals feel like they’re in the mood for some lovin’, they’ll just do it, there and then – plan and simple. Animals don’t care if anyone’s watching either. Of course, the flying solo should be kept as private as possible unless you’re putting on a show for your hot neighbor!

Thinking about getting jiggy with a Sex Machine?

Here’s what you need to know:

Looking back, I suppose I could refer to my first ever sexual partner as a sex machine. What I mean is that he was always ready to fuck and being 18 years old he only needed a short break in-between each session. To be honest, his libido was way higher than mine. I didn’t get into my stride until I was in my late twenties and generally having always been attracted to males older than me, when I was in my prime they were not.
