April ~ My Blogging Summary and SoSS

April ~ My Blogging Summary and SoSS

April has come and gone with mainly grey wet days. Though it must be remembered we had a couple of warm ones when I thought spring had finally sprung. That hope was dashed when the temperature returned to below 10 degrees (at least where I am in the UK).

I have very much enjoyed my writing this month and have started a few posts that will take a while to complete. I worked on my Smut-Marathon round 4 entry. Voting is currently taking place so if you have not checked out the entries please do. I am very happy to still be in the mix. It would certainly be a bonus for me to make it through the next round or two, and then I would feel I had done a good job.

My April Blogging Summary

Once again my statistics tell me that my censorship post was my most popular, with sinners coming a close second.

Writing

At the beginning of the month, I published an article about something that is very close to my heart. It tells of my man’s experience with Lyme disease. I would like to thank Posy, Missy and Luv-Bunny for sharing it on their sites – I very much appreciated the support. If any of my readers have not yet read it please take a look.

Sassy Cat also added it to a list she has which promotes posts relating to mental health. If you have a relevant article you would like her to add just message or tweet her.

Another notable post in April was my review for Mystery Vibe of the Crescendo Vibrator. My man and I incorporated it into a date night and I wrote all about of our kinky experience.   I decided against writing a formal review as I didn’t think that style of post would suit my site or readers.

My favourite image – of me – this month – is this one that was taken as part of the Crescendo review.

Writing and Images

  • May is Borderline Personality Disorder Awareness Month, and Sassy Cat has taken on the challenge of writing every day about the characteristics of this affliction. Please go over to her site and support her writing –

I pledge my commitment to blog for my Mental Health. I will write about Mental Health topics not only for myself but for others – to destigmatise mental illness.

She sits on the edge of the bed, blinking in the sudden light, dragging a shaking hand through her messy hair. Sweat makes her skin glimmer, a deep crimson flush spreads from her cheeks to the tops of her breasts.

But, after I got on the ward and had a moment to calm down. I wiggled. Then I wiggled again. Then I burst into tears. For the first time since 2008 I had no pain. None. The relief was overwhelming.

She also published one of my favourite sinful Sunday images of the month.

  • Petra pan shared this gorgeous shot for boob day –

I very much like the narrative that went with it regarding the censorship of “titty images” –

I don’t understand why there is any sort of censorship around boobs. They’re designed by nature to feed a baby. They’re nice to look at, and they’re comforting.

  • Molly’s article – You, Me and Her – about her relationship with Michael and Cara is a must read and very thought-provoking –

when I examined it my overwhelming feelings on the matter were that I felt happiness for him that he had found something special with someone.

  • Another favourite image of mine from April is – poetry in motion – taken of Cara, by Molly. Take a look, you won’t regret it…

Bye

Wishing you a sunny May 😉

  1. That’s such a great photo of you, and also of Petra Pan. Call me crazy but I think we need a shot of you two together! 🙂
And yes, Scanderalla writes great/hot stories. And she still got voted out of the Smut Marathon. Go figure!
