karmic wheel

The Karmic Wheel Keeps Turning

I sometimes think about what it must be like for those who have a sack load of money. I don’t – and doubt if I ever will.

Money makes life easier in some ways but the saying is so true:

Money can’t buy you love.

I have love and I believe in the Karmic Wheel. I live my life following certain Karmic rules. Just the other day I was in a pub when someone literally dropped a very thick wad of money at my feet. By accident obviously. They were sitting at the next table but it bounced over to me. I could easily have put my foot over it ready to retrieve and leave. Not that a few hundred quid would have lasted long but it would have helped.

I picked it up. Tapped the gentleman on the shoulder and gave it back.

I believe Karma will reward me for that in the future.

I also think I have my man because the Karmic Wheel recognised that I had tried to play my cards fairly with past relationships but was not treated that way in return.

Sometimes Karma throws up nice little surprises such as these sketches that Quill has done for me. My man and I take photos all the time, but to have someone draw you – well that’s a lovely thing. They are not worth a million dollars, and I am not saying that I would rather have the etchings than a bag load of money either. Come on I like them but I am not crazy (yet). 😉

  1. I’ve always believed in Karma, but as a young person I’d often forget – only to be reminded when something bad happened to me ie I was reminded of something bad I’d done in the days or weeks previous. Hence my life of crime was relatively short lived, and as I got older I realised there were no shortcuts to getting ahead.

  2. An important thing to consider – I do think you reap what you sow. Lovely images by Quill, that one of you in the blouse is such a hit – you will have two images of it when I finally get to the UK (though to be honest I haven’t done the one I promised you yet, but I will. I bought a plastic carrier the other day to bring it over in.)

  3. Interesting post May. It is good to reflect upon the spiritual aspects of Karma though I am not sure about reincarnation which is one of its tenets. But I do think that if I do a good deed perhaps I will be helped at a later time. It works the other way as well I suppose. Bad deeds will reap their own rewards. A common theme in Shakespeare. CPxx

  4. I would expect no less of you, May. Your Karma is intact. Fun to see his work.

  5. I think good can circle around to you if you’re watching for it. I agree though, I try to give good where I can so I don’t bring bad in.

  6. Completely agree . . . what goes around, comes around, as they say!
And . . . yes I am sure it is lovely to have those wonderful drawings done of you !!!

  7. Great musings May – I do think you earned your second chance to get together with your man, you seem so well suited.

Quill’s arty talent is wonderful thing isn’t it? (he recently did a couple of drawings of me – both using existing pictures to re-imagine a vixen version of me.) It is charming how he captures the spirit of you within the image – the picture you posted on #SinfulSunday was a prime example of this.

  8. I am totally with you on this. Do good and you will receive good. I never realized that there was something like the Karmic Wheel (I googled it) but I do believe in karma. I had this saying for as long as I can remember “the wheels are turning” believing that people who do bad things will eventually receive bad karma, but of course also those doing good will receive good karma. I guess I must have picked up the saying somewhere and that it refers to the Karmic Wheel. Interesting!
