The Life You Want on TMI Tuesday

The Life You Want on TMI Tuesday

Who was the first person you ever had a crush on? Why did you like them?

I had a crush on my step brothers best friend for about 8 years. It started when I was about 11 years old. I wrote about it – have a read…

What is the most important material possession you have and why?

Good question. I think that has got to be my Mum’s rings. When she died 8 years ago I got them and mostly am too scared to wear them as I would be heartbroken to lose any.

If you were a cake which cake would you be?

I wouldn’t be a cake – I would be something savoury for sure. I am not very sweet but am great to savour 😉

Has anything/anyone ever saved your life before?

Literally, I don’t think so but I cannot be certain. Suppose someone stops to ask you the time in the street, and if they had not been there the truck driving down the upcoming road would not have seen you and your life would have been over in a minute. But instead you stop to help the stranger, and when you go on your way the lorry has already turned the bend. You would not know your life had been saved.

Metaphorically – my man saved my life as before we were together my life was a little soul destroying.

If you could wake up tomorrow having gained any one quality or ability, what would it be?

To read and assimilate the information very quickly. There are oh so many books I want to read but I know I will never get the time to do so in my lifetime.

Bonus: Do you have a dream you’re pursuing? Tell us about it.

I always wanted to travel, to not be still in my everyday life – and I am now lucky enough to be pursuing that dream because my man and I are brave enough to step out of the system and go our own way.

Double bonus – I often dream about something when I am asleep and it happens in real life. Can be a bit spooky at times.

  1. Oooh, that IS spooky (your dreams) and your story about the truck is a bit existential too. You have an active mind – probably brought on by reading too many books! 😉

  2. 5. yes. there is so much beautiful literature out there from underground writers i’ll never know, it pains me. music, too. all those indie bands who will forever stay in clubs i’ll never visit and not on vinyl.

double bonus: I feel you. it’s like deja vu…….of something that hasn’t happened yet…
